Welcome to the Cleveland Education & Conferencing Center - Independence Website!
This is not your typical sterile, cinder-block, tiled-floor college classroom building.
IWU's Class A facility includes all the amenities of a modern commercial office building. Conference
guests will find the classrooms, study areas, hallways and break areas beautifully decorated, carpeted, and extremely
comfortable and inviting for an afternoon workshop or week-long training sessions.
This mostly curtainwall glass, 40,000 sq. ft. building has a 23’ tall lobby that is open to the second floor
balcony. The $6 million Center has 17 classrooms. Additionally, the building has study rooms (for 6 – 8 people),
an executive board room (for 10 – 12 people), a computer lab, lounge areas, and a large conferencing room (up to

In addition to the facility itself, IWU offers services that conferencing clients need to deliver their sessions. To
cover the technical needs of the conferencing client IWU has data projectors, computers, sound equipment, telephone
lines, wi-fi and corded internet access, overhead projectors, white boards, and computers available for rental. IWU can also provide catering or make a recommendation for local vendors who have provided catering in the past.
The IWU – Cleveland Education & Conference Center is centrally located near I-77 and I-480. The Education
Center is eight minutes from downtown Cleveland, 10 minutes from Hopkins International Airport, and 25 minutes from
downtown Akron.
